Never explain--your friends do not need it and your enemies will not believe you anyway.

A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you the less you know.

What a wonderful happy world it would be if everyone's passport and license portraits were this artistic. Man you turned something boring into art, it doesn't get much more talented.

I guess this comment was directed more towards most of your gallery than just this piece, though this one is a great example of what you do and I didn't want to jump the daily deviation bandwagon.

I'm watching you if you don't mind :)

Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.

What confuses me the most about your portraits, is that your models are extremely back-lit, and yet the front of the face is so perfectly exposed? How big is the bounce card you use? im guessing it must be big to reflect the light from both flashes, from the reflection in his eyes it looks like its above him, how do you hold the bounce AND the camera? From the reflection in his eyes it looks like theirs bounce from above, and also behind you the cameraman.

I don't shoot like this anymore because its a pain but these pictures with the blue wall behind them are like this: we are both sitting on the floor, there are 2 430ex flashes behind him left and right. I am sitting in front of a 4x4 board or 2 and have the camera in one hand and a 3x3 reflector in my other hand holding it above both of us, so we are basically sitting in a white box. And then I push it in ps. It would be easier to have another flash in the front helping out the bounce.
